“Vanimals Misadventures” Chapter 2 Stuck in the middle of nowhere! Gas Station no one there, Dairy Queen – no one there. XXX book store across the street – not going in there with all the perv’s at 2:00 am on a Saturday night! Truckers in lot behind gas station did not see them until me and the “Bandit” we’re aboard tow truck. After showing parent’s face time with the stares, their suggestion “Call 911!” Call 9-11? This is not life or death this is me doing something stupid! OK call *55 ok guess what it’s MO Highway Patrol! Ok lady disputer this is NOT an emergency! But it is kind of important to me! I have stranded myself at an unmanned gas station, look on Company Iphone where the ?Xll I am???? MO J highway just off of 70. By this time they have transferred me to their superior. Sir we will now connection you to the towing company. Dialing “Don’s Truck Towing and Truck Wash, Inc.” answered a bewildered man at 2:30 am in the morning. Yes sir I have stranded myself at X on the map, could you send someone to fix the car? NO Could you send someone to take me to someone that can fix car? On Sunday in the middle of MO? Can you send someone? Yes. Approx. 45 min. Dale a nice tattooed biker from KC arrived on scene to assist. Loaded up the Bandit and they would take me to Sedaila MO where a mechanic would be able to help on Monday! After disabling the car and the $$$ radio which after the rumble of the car, sound sweet! I left the dome light on getting approx. 50 lbs of car accessories, dirty clothes etc.. out of the Bandit! Trip to Sadaila MO got to know Mr. Dale and his adventures for the day. Dropped the “Bandit” at the Mechanics for Monday, luck Dale was thinking that early in the morning and said keep the keys! We then proceeded to the closes Hotel, guess what no one would answer the door bell at 3:45 am! Proceeded to next hotel. They answered and got a room from 4:00am to 11:00 am checkout time! Settled up with Dale, interesting fact at 3:45 am they don’t take credit cards! Lucky for me mom had stashed money in the glove box, which was $1 away from my Tow bill. At this point I told Dale to keep the change he had done a great job for my one and only Tow trip. Hotel was not well maintained, being a mechanical engineer I proceeded to test the A/C system after my ordeal, No much sleep that night. In the morning I had devised a brilliant plan “Self Rescue” ! Brilliant indeed find the closest U-haul and rent a truck and a car hauler to carry myself and the Bandit back to Cape. We had missed our cut-off of Hays KS, approx. ½ the distance of the trip! Proceeded to eat every snack food I had brought, take shower and drink until I could hold no more! Bad news U-haul is across town! End of Chapter 2
