Varsha Hariprasad spends her vacation watching movies, chat with her friends, engage in Facebook and of course not miss seeing Sitcoms; her favorite comedy series all day long. After few days of her vacation she started getting tired of her mundane life, but didnt know how to improve it. That’s when she heard about Dream A Dream. All she knew was Dream A Dream is an NGO that work with children on life skills. She informed her parents that she would like to volunteer and try something different this vacation. Her parents readily agreed and she flew down from Singapore and joined Dream A Dream 4 day outdoor experiential camp. During the camp Varsha lead a creative photography workshop. Narrating her experience at the camp Varsha says: “Apart from having the satisfaction of guiding and mentoring the kids, there was much to learn and take back from them. Their energy, enthusiasm and creativity were refreshing. The camp has helped me improve my leadership and communication skills. On top of everything, the camp turned out to be super fun and was also a great place to meet new people.” The first thing Varsha did was to call her parents and thanked them for allowing her to attend the camp. She now says I can now proudly say that my vacation is worth spent… Check some snapshots from the camp.
