(Vegas-centric post warning) Craps is my favorite game out in Vegas (although I enjoyed - and had luck - at Mississippi Stud on this last trip). Ive written a long screed on the Tumblr about why I love it, and wont recount it here. Look up Full Bluntal Nerudity on Tumblr if interested. I had just bought in, and the shooter was next to me, on my right. I am used to shooters having certain quirks and rituals. Its part of the charm. My buddy Ron, for instance, has a ritual where he throws the dice at the dealer, then apologizes profusely. (Hi, Koz!). This shooter would set the dice, then pick them up ever. so. sllloooowwwllly. and pause for a good 10 seconds before throwing. He was actually having a decent roll, so no one wanted to say anything, or disturb him (we craps players are a superstitious bunch). No one, that is, except the guy on my left, who kept up a constant murmur under his breath. We couldnt quite tell what he was saying, but it sounded desperate. Finally, the shooter cracked, and announced he was down 4 grand, and the bad vibes from the muttering guy were not helping. I do not know if he ever made up the 4 large he was down, but if he was relying on providence and vibes as a strategy, I kinda doubt it.
