Vendors at Blantyre market are complaining about insufficient water supply for over three days, which they say has affected their daily activities. The development has forced them to draw water from unprotected sources, along the Mudi River, hence putting their lives and that of their customers at risk especially those operating restaurants. Some vendors told Capital FM that the situation is now pathetic as they are unable to use toilets. Blantyre Water Board officials have not explained the cause of the water shortage in the area, which accommodates hundreds of vendors.
