Vent time. You know I generally try to be a diplomatic individual, but occasionally people really try my patience at that. Now I had had a personal conversation with someone about my opinions on a subject. The individual asked if if I would post the opinions that I had discussed in one of her groups. No big deal so I wrote out an article, that was well received. So well received that it was asked if I would share it in another group, by one of the moderators of that group. So I agreed and by direct request of one of the Moderators I reposted in her group. Well then I get two of the other moderators complaining about the article and telling me it was against the rules and that I needed to change the article, and the article was removed before I could respond. Now I have no issues following any particular groups rules if I join the group, however, that said if I am asked and directed to share something by one of the leaders of the group that had been written for another group, do not jump down my throat because your leadership does not have consensus of what the rules of the group are for posting information. And no for the record I will not compromise on the integrity of an article I write and change it to suit your your needs or agenda, as I stand by what I write. If there is a factual error in something that I write or if there needs to be some clarification on a subject that was misperceived then yes I will be happy to write and add an addendum further explaining something, but no I will not rewrite an article to suit your needs that I had been requested to share. If you run a group and have multiple moderators then those moderators need to get their act together and agree on a clear consensus of what is and is not allowed to be posted. You do nothing but create ill will toward your group when you receive direction from one leader to do something, and then get jumped on by another leader because you followed the requests of the other. Especially when you would not have normally have even shared the article to begin with. In addition people really need to know the difference between a personal attack against an individual in the private sector, and between commenting on the actions of individual that represents the image of a company as its spokesperson. There is a big difference between talking about personal disagreements between private individuals and having a discussion about policy that is enacted by a public figure.
