...Very busy day for the Fire & Emergency Services Units at Sandy Hook with multiple fire & ems calls for service. Late this morning, Sandy Hook Emergency Services Units responded to the report of an unknown type of device found in the area of the ferry dock and chapel. EOD units were requested and eventually the device was detonated by the EOD teams. While units were operating at this call, our EMS unit was dispatched for 2 calls for service. Sandy Hook Fire & Emergency services responded to a total of 7 calls for service from the hours of 1100- 2100hrs. Great job today by all the park services emergency services units from Law Enforcement, Fire, & EMS. With a special thanks to Sea Bright Fire Rescue for their assistance during this mornings operations
