Very Good News-Father Jim Update (from wife, Mary Anne) Dear St. Peter Family and Friends, I saw Jim in the hospital about 12:30 this afternoon. He was sitting up in a chair and since he can swallow now he was eating ice chips and drinking apple juice through a straw. He needs to be fed the ice chips and also needs someone to hold the cup of juice but this activity is a world away from where he was on Friday. After about 20 minutes of this activity, he was worn out and went back to bed. While I was there, a nurse came in and took out another of the IVs. One more tube gone. Please hold off on the visits for a couple of days. Im sure you all understand that Jim just doesnt have the energy to engage with visitors right now. I can see that getting well enough to be able to come home is going to be very hard work. Thank you for your continued prayers, your love and thoughtfulness. Enjoy your Sunday afternoon.
