Very cold Arctic air will once again invade the Bayou State. - TopicsExpress

Very cold Arctic air will once again invade the Bayou State. Strong northerly winds behind the Arctic front will be prevalent Monday sharply dropping temperatures throughout the day. Similar to the previous system, north Louisiana along and north of I-20 will experience some snow Monday night, Tuesday, and early Tuesday night with little in the way of accumulations. Further south in central Louisiana and points southward, accumulating snow of 1-2 will be possible. Regardless of the snowfall, very cold temperatures and wind chills will accompany this system. Well see the mercury drop into the mid-teens Tuesday night/Wednesday morning across north Louisiana. The cold temperatures will persist thru Wednesday before a slow warmup begins Thursday. Stay tuned for updates with this developing winter weather situation. Meteorologist Don Wheeler
