Very difficult day yesterday - got a call at the office from a relative of one of Normas best friends from KC. She was murdered in her own driveway. A guy was trying to steal a car next door. She came out of the house and he shot her with a shotgun. Killed two others at the same time. It later turned out that he beat up an older couple inside their house too. They have since died. It was the kind of phone call, where you just keep repeating what? what?. THEN, learned that we had robberies at gun point here in the neighborhood yesterday night. Terrible combination. Im not sure that carrying a gun would have helped in either of these situations, so thats probably not the answer, The Alarm guy is coming today. Check your windows and doors every night before you go to bed! Dont interfere in criminal activity - call the Police! Here in UCity they are very responsive - theyll be there in 2 minutes. Looking forward to a better day today.
