Very excited about going to San Jose, CA tomorrow! The San Jose International Piano Competition is a fantastic event. I have had the honor to preside over a distinguished panel of judges since 2006, and look forward to doing it again in this 2014 edition, from June 7 to 15! On June 6th, jury members play in a Gala opening recital. I will be playing Debussys Suite Bergamasque, and Lyapunovs Transcendental Etude Op.11, N.12-Elegy in Memory of Franz Liszt. I will broadcast my performance live on my UStream channel. Barring any unforeseen obstacles (hopefully they have good wifi in the hall), I should be able to do it. My portion of the recital, which lasts about 30 minutes, should start around 8:15PM Pacific Time, so 11:15PM Eastern. If I can pinpoint more accurately the starting time, I will post it tomorrow.
