Very good read! Ive always been very bad for that. Im someone who is very active in social media and almost subconsciously post pretty much every event in my life. I dont do it for the attention as much as I post to share the excitement. I love sharing videos of my baby smiling, or laughing, reading with her Dad, whatever it is. I love posting the good times I have with the girls and I love posting really sappy pictures of Corey and I. Its not to brag as much as it is an appreciation for what I have. The appreciation I had for my friends and family was one I always felt wouldnt be validated unless it was a public spectacle. I was so fascinated with the lives of my peers, friends, co workers that I to got excited to share intimate pictures and thoughts with people I hadnt seen in years, it was almost therapeutic. Posting a selfie and having someone who you met once in Jr. High saying hey, I like your hair is a weird level of acceptance we all long for. I find that the generation who grew up using the Internet has become not selfish but very self conscience in how we think and feel. Maybe people have a hard time choosing sides, standing their ground, because you have so many different people with many vast opinions ready to read and judge you at their finger tips. Im just as guilty as anyone ! There have been many times Ive read statuses or seen pictures and said to myself or even to a friends how stupid can they be I cant believe he/she posted that I cant believe their dating again. Very small minded things enter my head when Im scrolling through my news feed. That being said I also have people on here who I read their status or see a picture and Im proud or I feel inspired. Funny how is goes both ways. That being said this new year I will definitely be posting less, not because I dont love or cherish these moments, I just want to cherish and love them in a more private and intimate way
