Very sad to hear that Bernie Nolan has passed away from breast cancer, three years from diagnosis to death is no time at all. Disappointed to read in the press that she beat the disease in 2010, such ignorance as to how breast cancer works - no reputable oncologist would use that word - at best one might be said to be in remission - but only after five or more disease free years. I appreciate its not the same for all cancers but with bc the best you are likely to get is NED, no evident disease. Sad, but true.
