Very sad to inform that one final year B.Tech student of IIT-Guwahati today allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room. The student, identified as T Parameswar Rao, was found hanging in his hostel room this afternoon, an IIT-G spokesman said. May his soul lay rest in peace. And after December,2013 14 students from different IITs committed suicide. And this is going to be our 9th post on suicide! I feel like we and our education has once again failed. Why students feel like they wont be able to do anything when they fail in just one exam or get poor grades? Why we have created sucha mad hype for grades and tag those who cant score good marks as losers? Are grades everything? There is much more in life to explore and have fun and you can do things even if you dont have good grades. Even I have once failed in exam, but thats not end of life. This is life, it will have experiences which will make you a stronger person than before. The stronger you fall, the harder you will rise. ( like a batman) If you have ever failed at any place in your life or disappointment then just imagine your self Maybe, after some 20 years, youll be delivering a speech somewhere, telling, I failed in life once and that made me the person youre witnessing right now. Live for that dream now Take control of your life. If youve faced a defeat, take it as a challenge and FIGHT HARD. WORK HARD and break the boundaries that stopped you from claiming what you wanted. And finally when you emerge victorious. Always remember this, heros are not those who never fall, but those who rise up every time after they have fallen hard. (Besides youll have a nice inspirational story to tell your kids when you grow up). Peace. :) #InsideIIT
