Youre invited to the Red Hot Auction at the Old School House Museum~A letter from our friend Larry Bowden: Howdy Everyone Especially You, Hopefully you are aware of the upcoming Red Hot Auction on Saturday, August 23, 6pm at the Old Schoolhouse Museum located at 6760 National Park Drive, in Twentynine Palms. The purpose of the Red Hot Auction is to help pay for the remaining costs of the Hastie Bus renovation project. There is quite a balance due and we would like to help the people that spend a lot of their time working to keep the Historical Society up and running get closer to getting this item out of their mind. So Vanna Mendoza, some of you may know him as Greg and myself are organizing this auction because we are two of the biggest liars auctioneers in these parts. We need a little help to make this happen and that is where each of you comes in. First we need you to mark this day down on your calendar so you remember to come to the auction. Then we need you to go find some useful items that you would like to donate for us to sell at the auction. If it comes with a good story that is all good and dandy but rest assured we can come up with a good story with just about anything. We will come by your house and pick up if you need us to just call me, Larry Bowden at 760-910-3886 we can get you a tax donation receipt or a Sherriff’s report which ever you want. We are making it real easy for you also. It don’t cost anything to come to the auction, we will have free refreshments and you don’t have to buy anything if you don’t think we are lying auctioning good enough. If you do buy something we take cash, checks and credit cards, just be sure we give you your credit card back. All kidding aside we hope you can join us for a fun evening that Greg and I guarantee will make you smile.
