Very seldom do I get real about my personal life on Facebook. I would like to share something of value to my family and friends. This Saturday marks my 10th year anniversary. I never thought I would look at this day as something to celebrate . Divorce is ugly, painful and something I never wanted to be. To those of you who took the journey with me thank you. I can honestly say it is because of you I stand strong today. Please do not discount yourself, especially if you are reading this. Along the way I realized I needed to let go and let God and I have been at peace ever since. Ive embraced my life as a single mom of three. It hasnt always been easy for us, but we have learned some valued life lessons. We are stronger today and well equipped to handle whatever comes our way. The more time that passes, we realized we really didnt miss out on the important things in life. I may never be able to leave a small fortune to them, but I can go to sleep tonight knowing the legacy I leave behind is something worth so much more. My advice to anyone struggling.....let go and let God......embrace that struggle....if it doesnt feel right dont do it....smile even if it hurts....walk with your head up......if you have kids, do your best to make them proud. My grandfather often told me honey youve got heaven 10 years later I can honestly say I do.
