Very special time last night with Commissioner Jen Velez and Assemblyman Dan Benson paying tribute to the personal achievements and successes of the The New Jersey Association of Community Providers (NJACP) 2014 Community Star Award recipients - some very special people - people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have contributed to their community - each with a wonderful success story about their life and work in the community. Each individual has a unique story to tell. Despite their uniqueness, each story was about rising up to meet life’s challenges with courage, determination, strength, grace and dignity. Each is a true test of the human spirit and the evening was inspirational to all who attended.
