Very valid points, but heres the thing with Superhero movies. Right now, theyre the only originality Hollywood has. Yes theyre adaptations, but they are adaptations of works that have existed for 60 plus years and are constantly developing stories. Also, just like the source material theyre adapted from, the films can always be taken in new directions, styles, and story arcs. So no, Superhero films arent killing cinema. Remakes, reboots, old TV shows turned films, Bio pic of the month, overhyped dreck like Gravity, and sequels for films that dont warrant them are killing Hollywood. Marvel has films up to 2021, because each character and story is something new. Remember that? New. Its been a long time since that word has been relevant in Hollywood.
