Vet friends, I need your help with a Diagnostic Dilema! Senior dog - TopicsExpress

Vet friends, I need your help with a Diagnostic Dilema! Senior dog has cystitis (frequent urination, straining to urinate, licking herself) but CBS is good (only high cholesterol), ultrasound of bladder showed no stones (some sediment, but not enough for concern) and urinalysis showed ph of 8.5 with NO bacteria at all (no uti!). Dog finds some relief with NSAID or Gapapentin, but is still uncomfortable. Dog has 13% weight loss (15lbs total) which may be attributed to exercise/dietary changes or to unknown cause. Dog has also developed lick granuloma on leg that didnt exist before (again, may be unrelated). Dog has multiple lipoma, cysts and warts and all tested were benign. Next step is full body xrays. Have you seen something like this before? Thoughts?
