Veteran Saibal Ghosh Writes :- I joined Air Force in 1990 at an age of 18 yeas while studying in Class XII. Trained in CTI, Jallahalli, Bangalore as a Radio Technician(Group B) and was posted in 1 Wireless Experimental Centre, Delhi Cantt. Air Force gave me the platform to complete my Graduation and thereafter I passed CDS and SSB while being posted at 45WEU Sub Unit A and joined the Officers Training Academy and passed out as a Short Service Commissioned Officer in 1998 and was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery. Took part in OP Vijay, OP Parakram and OP Rakshak andnwas posted in Rashtriya Rifles Battallion in counter insurgency role in Jammu & Kashmir. Opting for a release during extended period of Short Service Commission, joined the Corporate Security and presently working as Asst. Vice President- Safety & Security in Axis Bank for the last Five years. The flight to success and greater heights has be possible only for the wings provided by Air Force to rise and attempt to achieve. in receipt of pension and ex-service officer benefits due to counting of former non commissioned service along with commissioned service, I have been fortunate to receive the best of uniformed service and a corporate career, which again attributable to the formative years as an Air Warrior.
