Via Jonathan Slavin: I wanted to share this with you: the power of willful ignorance cannot be overstated. People ask me when they meet me why are you a vegan? and they dont understand when I reply moral reasons. They say something like they wish they could, but could never give up their hamburgers, their bacon or their fried chicken. I mean, how many bacon jokes have we all made on Twitter/Facebook? Hilarious, right? Secretly (or openly to my face), these same people laugh at my life choices and ridicule my diet--as inevitably many of you will, too, here. And, thats cool. But, maybe, if you watch this video, you might understand why cruelty in any form, even against helpless animals...especially against them....well, we should be better than that as a society. No worries, Im sure most of you wont watch this or even like this post. But, you should do both. At the very least, think about it. Im a proud 15 + year vegan.
