Via Julie Croley Tim Shorter of Mustoe Shorter , Weymouth used Article 6 in the appeal of Mike Croley against a conviction of the Harassment of Andrew Joseph Jackson in 1999 a partner in the oldest masonic firm in Bournemouth. Mike Croley had written letters containing facts exposing the solicitor for having committed perjury and perverted the course of justice. Mike had shown the evidence to Inspector Davenport at Dorchester Police station , where he was thrown out of the station, told never to to return. Mikes letters were not aired in the original magistrates court hearing . The judge said it would put the plaintiff in a bad light if aired. In doing this he stopped Mike receiving a fair trial and denied him a defense . Simon lacey the solicitor who represented Mike did NOTHING to argue the magistrates instructions and absolute abuse of the law. Mike was fined £1000 for a first offence and told by Judge Jarvis at the appeal. You will not speak about or too or write about Mr Jackson again or you will face the consequences of this conviction GAGGED in other words. Mike approached Mp Jim Knight (now lord Knight of Weymouth) who instigated an investigation and instructed a Salisbury solicitor to investigate Mikes claims of Masonic corruption within Dorset police , Magistracy and Courts . The findings were that Mikes case go before the Criminal Cases Review Commission which we later learned was chaired by Sir Frederick Crawford , a high ranking Freemason
