Via Rockjumper - Worldwide Birding Adventures - #greatnature #wildbird - One of Africa’s most widely distributed sunbirds, the Scarlet-chested Sunbird is a denizen of drier country bushveld, acacia savanna and woodland; and, like most sunbirds, is particularly fond of flowering aloes. It was while feeding on the nectar-laden florets of one such aloe species that Markus Lilje photographed this breeding plumage male bird in Tanzania.
