Victorias unemployment rate is now the highest in mainland - TopicsExpress

Victorias unemployment rate is now the highest in mainland Australia. Under Denis Napthines watch, the jobless rate in our state has gone from 4.9 per cent in December 2010 to nearly 7 per cent today. This is nothing short of disgraceful. Napthine has been asleep at the wheel, watching businesses close while the rest of Australia moves ahead. This rise in unemployment comes at time of a nation wide skills shortage. Astonishingly, Napthines Liberals have chosen to cut funding to TAFE instead of investing in skills and training. The Victorian Labor Party and Daniel Andrews will act immediately on Victoria’s jobs crisis with Back To Work, a landmark plan to work with business leaders, grow our industries and help create 100,000 full time jobs for the unemployed. Take the time to read through it if you can. danielandrews.au/policy/back-to-work/
