Video of me getting arrested in front of the White House. Jeff Hood, Eric Folkerth, and I were arrested all three in a row around minute 27 on the video. The reason I got arrested is because out of all of the families in history into which God could have chosen to be born, God chose to be born into a family who had to smuggle their child across international borders at night. This child was Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ. As a follower and believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ, I felt called to participate in this civil disobedience with the resulting arrest to call attention to our government’s mistreatment of families like his. I prayed fervently for Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform and for President Obama to immediately stop tearing families apart through his record-breaking deportations.
