Videogame maker King, the creator of the ubiquitous and addictive Candy Crush Saga game, has trademarked the word “candy.” Candy is now banned not just from the titles of video games, but from the use in everything from clothing to amusement parks. RT’s Liz Wahl asks Derek Khanna, a visiting fellow from Yale University’s law school, if the trademark will affect the classic board game Candy Land or other brands that already use the name.
