Vietnam Veterans Day is today - March 29, 2014 There were 2.59 million American veterans who served in country during the Vietnam War. Please take a moment of silence to remember the 58,282 Vietnam veterans killed in action, and the more than 2,646 Americans who remain unaccounted for from the conflict. Today we pause to honor and express our enormous gratitude to the men and women who served so bravely during the Vietnam War. Your service to stem the scourge of Communism was one of our nations finest hours. The treatment you received upon your return was one of our darkest. I am often reminded and do cherish the freedoms you helped preserve, and will never forget your selfless dedication and supreme sacrifice. I am so honored to have you, Vietnam War veteran friends, in my life! Thank YOU, not only today - but everyday!
