Dear Donnie, today Ed and I attended church at a new place. We were invited and accepted. Upon entering the church, I felt a little out of place, nervous even....strange since Gods house, no matter where it is, we should always feel welcome. The feelings of nervousness quickly were gone once the people of this church started entering. They came to us, one by one, greeting us and extending their hands, then their hugs. We quickly moved up to the second row, you know how I dont like to miss anything......Rev. Brent La Prince Edwards came out of the sanctuary and immediately came over with a warm welcome....I have never been more impressed....with him, the music, the warmth of everyone welcoming us, two new faces, not know to anyone. My heart was so full.....I turned to Ed and said, Man, Donnie would have just loved it here! I think, for a moment, I felt you there D, next to me, clapping your hands, smiling and moving to the music. Where you there? Did you see me? I miss you so much sometimes, I just cannot breath. Rev. Edwards spoke of stress....well, we all know that I have had my fair share of it....I guess the last 3 years or so.....He spoke of how we are supposed to give it God, to let him handle it, we cannot help others if we are not ok with ourselves. I cannot help others if I am not taking care of myself....something I always knew but had to hear again....today. 2 Days.....my life will return to whatever normal is for me. It will never really feel normal I guess since I dont have you in my life. But, the new normal, life without you, will return again....I cannot wait.
