Superintendent in the o/o Labour Department Haryana, Chandigarh CHANDIGARH 11 July (JATINDER SABHARWAL) : In a breakthrough today, Vigilance UT Chandigarh has caught red handed one Devinder Sapra Dy. Superintendent in the o/o Labour Department Haryana, Chandigarh while he was accepting illegal gratification amounting Rs 2000/- in order to cancel the transfer of the complainant Rajbir Singh. Complainant Rajbir Singh stated that his brother was martyred in Kargil war. He was appointed as a clerk in the office of Labour department on the compassionate ground now he got promotion as Assistant in Labour department Haryana, Chandigarh. The Complainant disclosed that accused Devinder Sapra was demanding Rs 5000/- to cancel his transfer from Rewari to Hqrs Chandigarh. The bribe money was recovered from his possession and seized by the Vigilance team on the spot i.e. Labour Department Haryana, Sec -17, Chandigarh. The accused Devinder Sapra S/o Sh Abnashi Ram R/o # 97, Block –S, Shivalik Vihar, Naya Gaon, Mohali, Punjab has been arrested in Case FIR No-04 dated 11.07.2013 under corruption act , P.S. Vigilance, U.T Chandigarh.
