Vijaya Bank too has brought down the deposit interest rates. There is already a feeling that interest rates will be brought down by RBI Governor early next year. So for conservative retirees like me will be a double blow. One, the banks, including BOI, may bring down deposit interest rates further and interest income on my only investment may come down. Two, while wages in banking industry will go up, but there will be no change in my pension. So, 2015 will not be a happy one, it seems.
