Its as if the spiteful waste of a generation sent blithely to their deaths in appalling conditions counts for absolutely nothing. Thats what we need to be remembering, and not trying to cajole a spasm of tired jingoism. That simply cheapens the memory of the young men sent to be slaughtered by covetous monarchs and their armchair generals.
