Vistaprint Plant Engineering Manager Job ID: 9853 Apply Now Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on linkedin Share on email Share on print Reporting to the Director, Manufacturing and Plant Engineering, this is a challenging role which is responsible for coordinating all facility engineering functions throughout the Windsor Plant. This will include, but not be limited to providing technical support and oversight for facilities equipment, installation, preventive maintenance, plant conveyance systems, continuous improvement and maintenance. This position is also responsible for conducting Pre-Start Health & Safety Reviews for all new equipment installations. Your role will involve: Establishing and managing the Engineering Department budgets Establishing department & employee performance metrics to match Policy Deployment Maintaining plans of current and future projects for Continuous Improvement projects, establishing reporting standards & coordinating periodic meetings to track and report on progress Strong interpersonal skills, that interacts effectively with technical/non-technical people A driven, energetic, ‘do it now’ attitude, that does not stop until the solution has been validated The ability to multi-task daily escalations with large projects, independently, as well as on a team Managing engineering and maintenance professionals in a 3 shift production environment that includes both salary and hourly team members Ensuring Lean Manufacturing standards are applied consistently within the plant and organization Establishing capital plans for current equipment and future equipment requirements Ensuring new equipment meets required standards for acceptance, technically, for rate (units per hour) and machine safeguarding Participating in and supporting immediate closure of escalation issues related to equipment uptime and operation Improving OEE, machine uptime, reducing mean time between failures Establishing problem solving & root cause analysis Implementation of a Lean Continuous Improvement culture in everything we do In return you will bring: Engineering Degree and a Professional Engineer license 7-10+ years of technical supervisory/management experience of medium to large teams Experience working in a zero downtime environment, with cross functional teams Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and solve large scale problems Total Productive Maintenance, precision equipment and automation Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Experience Knowledge and experience with: Electrical Code, Fire Code, Building Code, Local and Provincial Laws Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulation for Industrial Establishments, CSA and international machine safeguarding standards Experience with Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews including in-depth experience with the evaluation and design of electrical safety circuits Knowledge and practical experience in the application of global safeguarding standards Apply Now https://careers.vistaprint/apply/9853
