Visual Arts Studio folks... Im one of the life drawing tutors at the studio but as an artist I work mainly in installation and performance. I need some performers for a performance work Im doing at The Pipe Factory on Nov 13th (if you dont know it you should get along as its one of the best artist-run spaces in the city). Its a very simple in terms of what you have to do, plus its really good experience AND its paid! Hit me up on here or email (below) if interested. Heres the info: Performers sought for Art Performance at The Pipe Factory, November 13th. I am a Glasgow-based visual artist who is looking for 4 male performers to take part in a simple, short semi-improvisatory performance (with very little preparation required) at the opening of the exhibition ‘East End Transmissions’ at the studio/gallery space the Pipe Factory in the Gallowgate, Glasgow. It simply requires you wear all black clothes and to mimic simple on-screen gestures and sounds flashed up on a screen above where I will be performing a sound piece (I’ll be ‘sampling’ and mixing tape-recorded voices). It doesn’t really require experience or a ‘good voice’, just a willingness to throw yourself into it. There will be a small fee for this performance.
