Vitamin K2 is essential for transporting calcium around the body - TopicsExpress

Vitamin K2 is essential for transporting calcium around the body to where its needed most, especially bones and teeth. You can get it in grass fed animal products such as cheeses gouda and brie, eggs, bone broth and natto (fermented soy, but must be organic and not of Japanese origin imo). nb. K2 is not to be confused with Vitamin K1 (aids in blood clotting). There is a really interesting relationship between Vitamin D, K2 and Calcium. Vitamin D can aid your body in the absorption of calcium from food/drinks, but, if you do not have enough K2 to transport it around, it can lead to inflammation, cancer, kidney stones, osteoporosis, brain disease, heart disease and calcium build up can lead to deposits which clog arteries and can cause heart attacks... There is a lot of new info coming out around Vitamin K2 and this is a super interesting discussion if youre looking at how to have your body functioning at its optimal level :)
