Vocation 3 At our heart: Trust God, do good, work hard, know your safe and provided for. Psalms 37:5 Commit ( to roll with or trust)your way ( the road your on) to The Lord, trust ( be bold, confident) in him and he will do this:( hinge, conditional promise with a predetermined result) He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, (Yasta: hebrew) to bring forth. ( he will ignite the fire of your heart and bring out of you the most amazing character) your vindication like the noonday sun. ( in the end you will be justified) Both are beautiful and powerful. Part 1 Commit your way: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 NIV) My Vocation is always in the eternal. We were created by God for God In Jesus we are reconnected with Gods eternal purpose for us. But, I am given the choice everyday to: Commit. What road are you on, what are you committed to? This statement or instruction in :5 follows verse :4 Delight your self in The Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. If you, right now, feel far from God and far from the real desires of your heart, and instead have invested your heart in the painful temporary things, turn and make a choice to commit where you will go today. Away from sin and towards Jesus. Our vocation is in the eternal. Our Vocation is it what Jesus wants to do today. Its not about what you do, Its about where you are. in The Lord , in the Way Your best day at work is when you are fully committed to your Vocation. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. (Proverbs 16:3 NIV) ( Baashan)He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the ways of Jeroboam and committing the same sin Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit. (1 Kings 15:34 NIV) What are you committed to? Part 2 and he will do this:( hinge, conditional promise with a predetermined result) When ever you come across one of these it probably a good idea to get out your hi lighter . This scripture draws a clear line of direction that says what Gods response will be to your obedience. The promise:. 1. He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, We are called children of light, and instructed to be in the light as Jesus is in the light. When we are committed and fully trusting in God, our choices shift from dark to light. Slowly and steadily the choices we made in the darkened parts of our flesh loose power to Christ character. Much like the dawn light rising. When we say yes to Jesus he invades every part of us thus through us impacting the world like light. Over coming sin gets easier. 2. your vindication like the noonday sun. What really counts is not what happens to our condition tomorrow, but rather how we will be counted before God at the end of all things . Because of the righteous of Jesus we are justified and counted as sinless the account fully paid, a brilliant and shining light, like the sun at its highest. Again this speaks to verses :1-2 That tells us not to worry about what evil men do, keep your eyes on your road, God will deal with that later. Our vocation is Jesus. When we fully and whole heartedly commit our selves to him daily, he will step into and impact our lives and the world through us.
