Volunteer Award Nominations Now Open The Launceston City Council is calling for nominations for the 2014 Volunteer Recognition Awards. The Awards will be presented during National Volunteer Week (May) and we are seeking nominations in a range of categories. They include hours of service awards for individuals and groups, designed to mark volunteering milestones ranging from 200 hours of service to more than 5,000 hours. We are seeking to recognise individuals or groups that have provided outstanding voluntary service to the Launceston community in categories such as The Arts, sport and recreation, environment conservation, animal welfare, health and education and community safety and emergency services. All categories are open to anyone over the age of 12 who performs voluntary work in the Launceston municipality. For nomination forms, visit launceston.tas.gov.au or call 6323 3381.
