Voter ID Drive Today in Woonsocket Secretary of State Ralph - TopicsExpress

Voter ID Drive Today in Woonsocket Secretary of State Ralph Mollis will hold “voter ID drives” in three locations Friday before the state’s first election requiring voters to show photo IDs takes place here on Tuesday. Raina Smith, spokeswoman for Mollis, said the events are an opportunity for voters planning to cast ballots in the Democratic primary to get free photo identification cards that will be accepted at polling places. The contest for the vacant House District 49 seat will be the first full test of the voter ID law. Two drives will take place simultaneously from 10 to noon at JFK Manor, 547 Clinton St., and Fairmont Heights, 525 Second Ave. Another will be held at Parkview Manor, 218 Pond St., from 1-3 p.m.
