The elections happen every year, where current students run for 5 paid positions in the SU (President, Vice President of; Academic Affairs, Welfare and Equality, Communication and Democracy and Activities and Development). These roles are vital, as they are a way for students to get their voices heard and shape Northumbria Uni to what they think it should be and tailor to our needs. Key things that Sabbs have done for you are; -Extended opening hours across campus, especially the 24h library. -Got more computers for you in the library. -Stopped cuts to the bursary schemes, saving us money! Your vote really does matter, as it means the right person will be elected and fight for what you want.
