Voting procedures - how-to vote from MEC handbook. Polling Centres open at 6 am all over the country. Do you know what process you will go through to vote? 1. Once you arrive at a polling station you will join a polling stream with assistance from an usher at the centre. 2. The voter then goes to an identification clerk who check potential voter’s finger for indelible ink. 3. Voter presents voter registration certificate to identification clerk. 4. Identification clerk checks for potential voter’s name in voter’s roll. 5. Voter goes to inking clerk who applies ink to a voters finger to indicate voted in Councillor election 6. Voter goes to Councillor ballot clerk who issues voter with ballot paper. 7. Voter goes to Councillor voting booth and marks ballot paper for choice of Councillor, then places paper in appropriate ballot box. 8. Voter goes to parliament ballot clerk who issues voter with ballot paper. 9. Voter goes to parliamentary voting booth and marks ballot paper for choice of parliamentarian, then places paper in appropriate ballot box. 10. Voter goes to presidential ballot clerk who issues voter with ballot paper. 11. Voter goes to presidential voting booth and marks ballot paper for choice of president, then places paper in appropriate ballot box. 12. Voter leaves polling station!
