Vukile Robert Makala. 1958. ~ 2013. You stayed true to the course, dedicated and disciplined member of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa in DJ Mapekula Memorial Circuit. Number 0225, your christian knowledge and disciplie was anchored in the Methodism ethos until you left this human world on the 31st October 2013. Brother Makala was one of the third generation of Cradock strong young Methodist with Amos Magadu, Son Mbinambina, Boyce Sonamzi, Mzwandile Notwala, Seth Maqanda and Rev Dr Xolani Tengo etc. Vukile was always an ordinary and methodical person who got on well with people. He had a great gift for initiating projects and motivating people to be involved in them eg Renaming of Circuit and Societies names. Sadly he met an untimely death after long illness since 2010, he pass away on Thursday evening 31 October 2013. He will be deeply missed by his family,friends and entire Methodist community in Cradock and Grahamstown District. He is survived by his wife Boniswa Nomncinci known as Nonkokheli, his six children and his brother Mzwandile. He was a man of few words, peace loving and devoted to Gods people whom he served as a steward.
