W A R N I N G S Everyday our lives are surrounded by signs and warnings of all sorts hat we must take heed. In HIs word, God warns us and we must obey these warnings. If we are crossing an interception and hear an incoming car blow the horn, we stop, look around and do not cross the street because we know there is danger. If a fire engine blasts the sirens, we hurry to free the road. However, when God warns us to "flee from the coming wrath"(Mathew 3:7) we remain indifferent. If a doctor informs us that certain medicines has negative effects, we immediately avoid it. But, when the God of love warns us "the wages of sin is death"(Romans 6:23) we continue in our sinful ways regardless of his warnings. When we are applying for a job and the management ask for all kinds of documentations, we put forth great effort to satisfy every request. And, when God tells us "no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again"(John 3:3) Do we really take heed to this warning? If a merchant informs us that we have won the first prize of the lottery he organized, we run to claim the prize, but, when God announces, "the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"(Romans 6:23) we tarry disregarding his word, instead of freely receiving it. Friends, he who has a ear, let him hear: and if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask of God, who gives generously to all without reproach. "Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live" (Isaiah 55:3) with all these warnings before you, what are you going to do with this last one?
