W.W Rostow, a renowned economist, was economic adviser of former US Prez John Kennedy. Once Rostow once wrote on economic problems of 3rd world countries. He had written that 3rd world countries can develop economically only if they give up their traditions, cultural values and adopt modern ideas, modern cultural values, technology and scientific temper. Rostow had written that third world countries are obsessed about conserving their traditional values, the values which are reason of their poverty and backwardness. The patriarchal mindset impede their economic growth, people in 3rd world lack strong work ethics, they live in their fantasies of golden past and reluctant to change, they are fatalist~
