W magazines February issue features a huge layout of actors in a photo shoot inspired by the looks of 1970s. I made it through the 1970s & I am not certain that I need to revisit the decade. I do know that I like my Bradley Cooper hairy rather than shaved. Cooper celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday by resting on his single day off from the run of his Broadway performance in lead role in THE ELEPHANT MAN. He may also hear his named called when the Oscar nominations are announced on the 15th for his work in Clint Eastwoods AMERICAN SNIPER, for which he gained 30 pounds. The Academy usually rewards extreme weight gain or loss. I should be nominated for losing those 50 pounds in 2014s CANCER: THE MUSICAL. I am not big on seeing the Eastwood flick. War themed films are not my favorite genre, but I have been won over by Coopers work, starting with SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK (2011) & AMERICAN HUSTLE (2013), both films that I give an A on the Steve Report Card. I still prefer him hairy, but the W layout is full of arresting images.
