WAHS PTA STATEMENT The WAHS PTA expresses sheer disgust at the recent attempts of person(s) unknown to berate and malign the Management and Staff of our esteemed institution. We have been cautiously silent amidst previous negative banter but must now add our voice to denounce this baseless attack in support of our hard-working Principal, Deputy Principal and Teachers. We are duly satisfied, having been intimately involved, that our Team generously extended every courtesy, even above and beyond, its call of duty to appropriately accommodate the Principal, Staff and students of the BHS during really challenging times. All, of course, being done in the interest of our Nation’s children who are the driving force behind our efforts as a PTA. We are equally appalled at the media who have peddled these insidious statements locally and globally doing more harm than good to our children whose interest they should be responsibly representing. Has anyone taken a minute to consider the effects of this deplorable act on our children who are repeatedly lambasted for their behavior? Is this the example we would want them to emulate? Or, one which would facilitate the desired behavioral changes required to produce socially responsible citizens? The WAHS prides itself on its mission to ensure the moral development of our students. Our existing virtues programme emphasizes one virtue monthly. Incidentally, our virtue for the month of October is RESPECT!!! The letters which are being brandishing about serve no other purpose but to disrespect and undermine the authority of our School. We therefore consider it our duty to publicly condemn such attempts and stand boldly with our Principal, Deputy Principal and Staff. We strongly encourage our entire WASHIE parent family to stand in solidarity. WAHS PTA Executive
