WANTED: New leaders for the TEP Knox/Anderson/Blount Counties Committee. This committee of the Tennessee Equality Project is looking for new volunteer (uncompensated) to advance equality in your area. Here are the positions and requirements: Program Coordinator--Works with the chair and the executive director to develop programs for the monthly meeting. Programs can include speakers, panels, workshops, discussions, etc. Membership Coordinator--Recruits paid members in TEP. Volunteer Coordinator--Tracks volunteer hours for the area. Helps develop description of local volunteer opportunities and publicizes them. Volunteer hours should be reported to the executive director every month. Social Coordinator--Helps plan and execute social gatherings. Special Events Coordinator--Facilitates TEP’s involvement in Pride festivals and arranges events to celebrate policy victories or other special occasions. Outreach Coordinator--Works with the chair to maintain relationships with other local allied organizations. Secretary--Helps keeps a record of monthly committee meetings. *All committee officers should be paid members of the Tennessee Equality Project. Yearly dues are $25 for an individual, $10 for a student, and $35 for a family (2 or more persons in a household). All committee officers should attend monthly meetings.
