WAR ON TERROR:THERES A FOUL PLAY. Initiated by the former United States president George W Bush and amplied by their allies across the globe,the world is frenzied on real and imaginative threats from terror rings . However, Kenya was spared of the pawns until 16th Oct 2012 when the KDF tanks rolled across the Somali borders on the orders of Yussuf Hajj and George Saitoti,the then ministers of defence and internal security respectively.The presumptive mission of the operation code named Linda Nchi was to weed out the ragtag Somali militant,Alshabab and make Kenya more safe.Well,it is 3 years and Kenya is sithing under flames of ethno-religious bunsen burner.What Kenyans were not told by the govt is a side agenda that involved curving out Somalia, rename it Jubaland and impose one Sheikh Madobe as their puppet,hes an ethnic Ogaden from Mahamed Zuber clan. Today, our country is a replica of Northern Nigeria.Our public transport suffers more from bomb attacks than accidents.Killing of muslim clerics is norm of the day.In what puzzles any conscious mind,grenades are being found everyday in different locations as though it is maize seedlings.Here, I think the govt is fulfilling its agends of distracting the public from the ballooning wage bill, gain more favour from the West by fighting terror and provide compelling evidence to persuade the ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda from requiring the duo suspects to appear in person in the Hague. The most owful repercussion is the profiling of ethnic Somalis. Eastleigh today is a borough of winning daily bread by the corrupt Kenyan security men.Mothers, youth and children are bungled into waiting police vans like charcoal sacks and released after monies exchanged hands.After the ethnic Uighurs muslims of China and Hazara of South East Asia, somali muslims are the most persecuted group in eastern Africa. We left our security docket to the dogs the day Uhuru picked a cook from Utalii college to head it.He still uses carrot and stick to solve a complex insecurity situation.
