WARNING!!! Please spread the word. There is a company going door to door here in West Jordan and surrounding areas. They do bids for concrete work. His name is Sal and he told me he is with S.T. Construction. We got a quote from him on doing an RV pad. He walked us through the norm of pulling the grass, capping and moving the sprinkler heads, tying into the house etc etc. We decide to hire him for the job. Last night I came home to a cop and the builder of our subdivision to find out the workers with S.T Construction had started (and I use that term lightly) the RV pad. They helped themselves to another companys bobcat to move our grass, whom is in the same line of work as them. They also helped themselves to rock being used for the driveway of the house going up in the lot next to mine. On top of the stealing, they were planning on pouring concrete without digging out the 4-5 inches, placing base rock, tying into the house or moving the sprinkler heads! It appears Sal also uses company names of M.S Construction, Mountain View Construction and Pineapple Express Construction. Im sure there are others. This has apparently happened to several others in the surrounding neighborhoods. And it appears that many times once the deposit check is written they simply dont come back to start/complete the job! Unfortunately, it looks like we are out our deposit. Live and learn. However, if I can prevent this scam artist from ruining another persons day Ill be satisfied.
