WARNING: You May Be Infected A lot of people I encounter suffer from a sickness called Pooritus. Thats when they identify themselves with a much lower income population, even though they are really much better off. Sufferers of this disease often complain about the rich getting richer. They even cast votes based on which politician promise to screw the wealthy more. The irony is the folks these politicians want to screw include the very same mentally ill populous that helped to elect them. Consider these numbers... The top 25% earn $ 67,000 or more a year The top 10% earn $114,000 or more a year The top 5% earn $160,000 or more a year The top 2% earn $200,000 or more a year The top 1% earn $380,000 or more a year The next time you hear a campaign speech about robbing the rich to give to the poor, you should understand that there is a good possibility the folks they plan on robbing are you and your family. For those of you that may feel this illness has affected you or a loved one, there is a cure. First, hold your head high and be proud to say you are in the top tier of Americans. Second, use the talents that got you to where you are to help others achieve the same, either by sharing knowledge or creating jobs. Third, vote for politicians that encourage entrepreneurship and growth, rather than the ones who promise more welfare in exchange for laziness.
