WASTEWATER OVERFLOW COMPLIANCE AND MONITORING After the meeting - TopicsExpress

WASTEWATER OVERFLOW COMPLIANCE AND MONITORING After the meeting I posted about below, Ill be going to another meeting (fortunately in the same building). This will be this years annual meeting of the Monitoring and Compliance Liaison Group that was set up as a condition of the consent given by ECan to CCC on emergency overflows in wet weather, and on which the BNA is represented together with ECan and a number of other organizations including Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu, The Avon-Heathcote Ihutai Trust, the Avon-Heathcote Estuary Association and Community and Public Health (BNA is represented because Beckenham is one of the communities affected by wastewater overflows). At this meeting representatives of Christchurch City Council will explain the current situation in relation to the Compliance Strategy Agreement and wastewater overflows. A representative of SCIRT will also be attending this meeting and will outline the repair work that has been going on in the last year. I will report back on this meeting.
