Disaster Recovery Training + EXAM” What: Cyber Security: Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer Training + Exam When & Where: July 14 to 18, 2014 – CEBU Venue Or August 18 to 22, 2014 – DAVAO Venue Or September 1 to 5, 2014 - MANILA Venue Course Overview When a business is hit by a natural disaster, cyber crime or any other disruptive tragedy, how should it react? What if the office IT infrastructure is taken down? Will the business be able to continue operations? How much will it cost if the business is down during repairs? The answer lies in the training of the Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer course. Disaster recovery and business continuity planning is the process of having a professional work with a business to prepare processes, policies and procedures to follow in the event of a disruption. The goal is to keep a businesses’ critical operations running, which today heavily relies on its IT infrastructure. Students who take this course will be prepared to work with businesses to create and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Course Content The C)DRE is a four day course that will cover disaster recovery and business continuity planning. It is comprised of 11 Modules. During the course students will perform different DR/BC exercises including spending all of the fourth day writing their own disaster recovery/business continuity plan. The instructor will be spend time advising each student as they work their individual DR/BC plans. Before leaving, the instructor will also adviise students on what information they need from their businesses to finish their plans. Upon Completion Students will: • Understand the principles of business continuity and disaster recovery planning. • Have a first draft of their own business continuity and disaster recovery plan. • Be ready to sit for the C)DRE certification exam. Who Should Attend The Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer course is designed for those understand business and its different processes, including the role that IT. We recommend those who take this course to have experience in risk, fascilities, or security management. At the very least students should have equivalent experience and knowledge of what is covered in our C)SS: Security Sentinel course. Mile2 certifications: 1. Accredited by the NSA CNSS 4011-4016 2. Maps to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Training Standards 3. Approved on the Department of Defense’s NICE NICCS (National Initiative for Cyber Security Careers and Studies) Training List CPE Credit Accreditation: All Mile2® courses can be submitted to (ISC)2, ISACA, SANS and other Professional organizations that require continuing professional education (CPE) credits.
