WATER SHORTAGE HITS PART OF CAPE COAST....AS STUDENTS OF THE ACADEMY OF CHRIST THE KING STRUGGLE TO GET WATER. . yesterday, i used one satchet (500ml) of water to clean my ampits before going to school, a female student narrated to YES NEWS. . we often go to mbokuw (enter bush) whenever we want to attend to the natures call because there is no water to use the w.c, a form two student explained. Q. Dont you have any polytank or water reservoir at your hostel? Ans.(form one female student) we have two, one for the caterers and one for the students..but there is no water in any of them. Even though we have paid for it. Even yesterday, i woke up 3am.....i even slept when classes was going on. . In an interview (phone call) with the Central Regional Director of Education, Mr Jacob Kor,(he is currently incharge of the school) he said, he is currently not in the region but his checks from the local authorities of the school reveal that, the water shortage started just three days ago....and the authorities were working hard to get the problem resolved. According to him, they (authorities) said they had gone to the UCC but they were informed they (UCC) have not been pumping water...they then went to Ghana Water Company but there was no water there too so they are now going Mfantsiman to check if they will get.....so maybe by tommorrow(today),they will get...thanks.
